Similar to this post about grid numbers, you can toggle to the larger font size in the wrench menu, which also slightly thickens the grid lines, but there is no finer control over the native grid lines.
Here’s a graph with faked grid lines you can control your thicknesses and minor and major grid line spacing. You could add in the functionality from the graph I shared in the other post for the labels.
