Something’s not working the way it seems like it should.
When I … use this CL to move video to certain time in preview it works great, video starts at given time and plays through, however when you view it as a student, the video is stuck on exact time in the CL. The student view won’t play the video like it plays in the preview mode.

The student view in this case is performing as it should, where the time sink just sets the play head.
The bug is actually in the teacher preview and what you see in there is not what it should be. Our apologies, we understand it’s very misleading.
I think it would be good if you could get the functionality desired in playing videos, i.e., to programmatically set the start and stop time and possibly to autoplay the video.
I find it pretty rare to want a video to just show a single frame.
