Can I check for correctness of a linear equation if the student uses other variables besides x and y?

Yes - the activity you have created does that, with the .differenceFunction("C","n") bit. All of the correctness checks seem to work okay for me (ie. tick appears on the dashboard when all bits are correct) - is there something else you were hoping it would do?
