Hey! I’d love to make this fraction bar be greater than 1. That way kids can explore improper fractions such as… 3/2 or 5/3 or 7/4 and so on.
Can someone help extend the bar beyond 1, with a maximum of 3 total bars?

I think end to end might be confusing. I’d probably try duplicating the current bar, making it a little more clear each is a whole, and spacing them out vertically. Each with a separate point to drag, but the “Equal Parts” slider equally dividing all the bars.
Good thought and that would be doable to duplicate vertically, though I want to make connections to future work with a number line horizontally.
You could still do them horizontally, though I’d make the ends of each bar a different thickness than the part dividers. I think you’d be better off with a full screen graph rather than cramming it into that space, but then your follow up question would need to be on a new screen, and would be difficult to revise.
