Greek Letters In Labels

How do I add Greek letters to labels? Copying /letter doesn’t work for labels.

You can use backticks and then type the LaTeX code for the greek letter (I believe in all cases it would just be backslash followed by the letter, e.g. \theta).

It appears that this only works for labels. For example, I don’t think you can create a function like y=3x+\epsilon. If this can be done somehow I would love to know.

It doesn’t accept most of them, but there are a few you can type the name (without the slash). alpha, beta, theta.

Interesting. I was so focused on epsilon and delta, I didn’t realize alpha and beta worked. Good to know thanks !!

I asked Desmos Team and they replied. Very helpful !!

you can easily add in (almost) every Greek character by pasting in valid latex. (Please note this will only work if you paste in the latex. It will not work if you write latex directly into the expression list). In the case of greek letters, the latex command just adds a backslash. For example, you can paste in: \gamma.

Here’s a graph that you can copy and paste out of if you’d prefer: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/7djauzqso9
