Undisplayed equation creates "phantom" curves even if the folder they are in is not selected

I have graph which is working as I want with one exception. While there are many equations in it running as expected, the last few I added in a new folder are producing ‘phantom’ lines on the sheet. When the folder the lines are in was selected, the lines were solid but when switched off they were still visible but at low opacity. One was linear, the other a quadratic. The problem is that the lines causing this are just calculated fixed constants so should not have been graphed at all.

OK, I have another problem. I started typing this message was going to screen grab my first problem but I moved a line out of a folder to the main body so make it visible and the first problem went away. It was just a definition of a constant. I put it back in the folder and the problem didn’t return so I can’t reproduce it.

Has anyone else seen anything like this before?

I was going to say the bug had vanished but to illustrate what it looked like I added a new folder called “Fake lines” with two curves that replicate what I saw.

However, on switching off all the folders I’m now getting some of the contents displayed, only a completely different set of equations are showing.

Attached is a screenshot of what I am seeing today. Note that every folder is set to not display.

Just to note, I opened a different graph then went back to this one today and the screen is blank as expected. I can only think it is some sort of screen update problem. On the first instance, if the folder with the problem line was displayed, the phantom curves toggled between solid when displayed and about 0.4 opacity when supposedly switched off.

Looks like remnants of two other folders (Shading of acceleration zone and Bob’s Axes and Grid), so I agree, maybe some kind of buffering issue.

Yes that was my conclusion. It was odd because the phantom curves stayed but changed opacity when I switched the folder of and on several times when they should never have been displayed at all, the curves appear to be the individual components of a piecewise equation of motion. If I can get an example that stays consistent I’ll raise it again to help Amplify debug it. but for the moment it’s just an unexplained transient.
