Has anyone managed to successfully use £ as a prefix in the input box .
I have managed to do p= as initial latex, then the numerical answer being marked correct but same method doesn’t seem to work when it is £ sign?
The pound sign is not a supported latex character, so any latex matching, or even evaluative checks treating it as a variable, will not work. You can try using a string match instead, but answers would need to be exactly the same. Generally, if you put something into the calculator that results in an error, you’ll have similar issues in CL.
Similarly with the dollar sign, in the curriculum, rather than using initial latex, we use “dollars” as a suffix.
thank you managed to sort it
