Compiling Collections

I would like to assist in compiling Desmos activities and collections in a way where teachers can find the work of others.

I am working on adding collections and resources to this spreadsheet. PLEASE consider replying to this post with one or more collections that I can add to the list.

I know there are some amazing CL users in this forum that have undoubtedly created awesome work and/or compiled useful collections over time. I look forward to seeing what we can put together!

Please don’t worry if some of your activities/collections are not ‘polished’ or complete - just seeing what others are doing can inspire new ideas and save lots of time.

Thanks in advance!

Here is one that I have that is more recent.

Thank you! I’ve added that collection to the list!

Love this idea!
Here is my collection for the IB Math Applications and interpretation SL class.

Added. Thank you so much!

I don’t know if you’re looking for stuff like this. Here’s a puzzle activity all about 1D and 2D parity.

It’s an extension of the classic princess and the castle puzzle.

@Steve_Heller Thank you for sharing this great activity! Is this by chance a part of a collection of yours that contains other activities? If so, would you mind sharing the link to your collection? If it’s not part of a collection would you like to add it to one and share that with me, OR would you be okay with me adding it to an ‘Other Activities’ collection of mine and linking that collection in the spreadsheet I posted?

@CL_Noob: thanks! I have a handful of activities I’d be glad to share. I’m not familiar with collections, but I’ll figure it out.

I have this two collections about dividing shapes into congruent parts:

@Steve_Heller

Collections are like folders of activities you’ve collected - whether you are the original author or not. For example, if you created an ‘Algebra 2’ collection and shared the collection link, it would allow anyone with that link to access to any activity in that collection (folder). As you create future activities and/or add activities that you find to that collection, other teachers will be able to see those activities by accessing your collection (folder) without the need to send me new individual activity link(s). There are several YouTube videos that walk through how to create and/or share Desmos Collections.

I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions. If you create one or more collections please send me the link(s)!

@Guzman_Tierno

These look great! Thanks for sharing. What ‘Level’ would you recommend I classify these as? ‘7th grade’ Geometry? Just ‘Geometry’?

Well, the concept of congruent shapes is for 7-graders … but the activity may be fun for younger and older students … So I’d say just “Geometry”.
Thanks for your work!!
