So, as part of a Desmos Activity Builder lesson I introduced my kids to geometric constructions using Desmos Geometry. Well, they are going nuts! In our Zoom meeting today the kids (Grades 6 to 8) who came were all caught up so we started messing around with the DG. I showed them the scavenger hunt but what they were really interested in was messing about and showing each other what they created :). One of the kids figured out how to construct a regular hexagon and we were off to the races! One of the kids constructed concentric circles and “planets”. Of course now there is a desire for ellipses! One thing that would be neat is if there is a trace tool.
Really fun. The kids are inspired and we are going to set aside some of the class time for sharing constructions!
