I’m having trouble getting my account registered as a teacher, for some reason my account was set as a student and I cannot access student progress or see my classroom for that matter. Each time I log on I’m treated as a student.
I’ve tried reaching out via email to amplify support but all I received was an automated message with no follow up. It has been this way since the beginning of October. Are there any admins on here that could help me restore my account to teacher status?
The most common reason for this has been conflicting roles in Google Classroom. If you’ve been a student in Google Classroom, it took precedence over teacher roles. The fix has been to have support first reassign your role, and second you need to disenroll from any Google classes in which you’re a student OR provide the Google class codes to support so they can have them ignored when Google refreshes. If you need to be a student moving forward, you would again need to provide that class code to exclude. I know there’s work happening to fix these role assignment issues.
Is the email associated with this account the same you’re registered as a student on Amplify Classroom, so I can maybe track down your ticket?
Hasn’t this Amplify account problem been here for a bit? Like, when the “Amplify classrooms “ post was posted, it was a big issue around the UI and stuff, no?
