Weird. Amplify seems to swap out y for and on one student’s screen(and only their screen). Even more bizarre, this swapping only occurs in a Math Input on Submit.
I can’t explain it any better than that, it’s hard to believe. I’ve never seen this before and had to take a video of this occuring to show what I mean.
Note in the following image that everywhere and appears it’s actually coded as y and displays as such for everyone else.
Do they happen to be a Spanish speaker? Almost like it’s doing a quick translation.
Down in the note below it also has “and” instead of “y”.
Yes and it has it in the table too and in the note component below the Math Input.
Weirdly it only makes that swap on Submit for the Math component.
This person is not a Spanish speaker at all, and I doubt that’s the reason(though I can’t think of a better one), since the swap occurs for latex rather than text.
Very odd.
