Simple Inequality Questions Corrected in Coding

I have students comparing 2 quantities (6th grade) in a table. I cannot figure out how to have them type in an inequality symbol as their answer and have coding tell them if their answer is correct or not.

No graphing inequalities on a number line or graph… just comparing 2 numbers

Im assuming this is so difficult bc <> symbols mean things in coding?

I am not an expert, I usually copy and paste coding from other lessons and can change them to work for what I need EXCEPT for this!
