Cannot evaluate expression error

Hi! I am getting an error message that says “cannot evaluate expression” on slides 7 and 8. The code is different on the two slides because I was playing with the code on slide 7 to see if I could fix it. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

There is code in the note component trying to calculate the numericValue of the input, which is generating the error message.
