InitialLatex in a table?

#1

Can you populate a table to be completed with an InitialLatex statement like

initialLatex: “f\left(x\right)=”
?

#2

initialCellContent is your friend there. Don’t forget two backslashes to enter latex (although initialCellContent is pretty good at showing expressions as a student would type it).

#3

Thank you. I was using initialCellContent but am having trouble getting it to recognize the latex statement: f(x)=

initialCellContent(1,3):“f\left(x\right)=”

Sorry I am a novice. Still learning the syntax.

#4

Try this: “f\\left(x\\right)=“ or just “f(x)=“

#5

Thank you. “f(x)=” worked. That makes sense given the table is formatted as equations. I appreciate your help.
