Length of answer from a Math Input computation

I want students to be able to type into a math input box the equation for solving compound interest and obtain an answer. However only the first 6 numeric values are shown so if the number is in the 10 thousands it will only show the first decimal value. Is there a way to define the length of the calculated value, or am I going to need to use a note and CL layer to provide the answer out to the penny using floor?

For this activity I am more concerned that they can enter the equation correctly, but it would be nice to have the students be able to provided a final answer, which can’t happen if they cannot see out to at least the hundredth position.

The only solution I can think of is the solution you mentioned. Make a calculation of the dollars and cents separately, and then pull them into the note for feedback. Graphing Calculator
