I’ve successfully added a point label but I can’t work out how to explicitly position it.
Can someone put me right please.
You have kind of limited control. When you go into the context menu of the point, you see a kind of compass rose. By default the middle is selected which auto places the label. You can click one of the directions to force it to move that way relative to the point. The downside is that auto placement has logic built in that makes it so labels don’t overlap and block each other. You see how sometimes a label will suddenly shift because it’s hard to see? If you force the direction it will override that, so that’s the main thing to watch out for.
Daniel I should have been clearer, I speaking about text that is placed via the CL language command PointLabel.
I can easily position numbers and text using labels.
