When I … type into the math input box using my computer keyboard, nothing comes up.
But I expected … to have the typing come up without having to use the keyboard link on the answerbox.
It is happening on multiple activities for me (I tried a few while trying to quickly figure it out during class…) But this is the one we are currently trying to complete:
I’m just adding an additional video link shared from the Desmos Educators Facebook group.
Sample trying to type into mathType within a note.
For those having issues, it appears that the user in the video was able to first type an expression as regular text, then highlight it and click the mathType button to convert it. The fraction didn’t successfully format, but that was because it was not written in latex formatting (e.g. \frac{1}{2}).
I’m not personally having difficulty, so I can’t test, but I think typing plaintext first, converting to mathType and then editing if needed should be successful in the meantime.
Edit: Other colleagues have said it may be related to users with Equatio accounts that has recently been deactivated. Clearing cookies and history from your browser may fix the problem.
I will try this today. If I use my apple product it works but if I use a chrome book or desktop it won’t. I would imagine that the extensions are the same if I sign in as a teacher using school district log in on both apple and chrome book.
