Checking Integer Addition Equation

Hi there!
I usually look on CL.Desmos.com to help with my coding.
However, I cannot seem to find anything to help me with checking student input of a simple addition equation (for 7th grade).
I would like to be able to check the equation that they type, such as " -17 + 5 = -12"

Here is the activity I am working on. This problem is found on Screen 5. Thank you in advance!

Desmos has a series of videos on YouTube that are very helpful for this.
