I’ve been researching how to best design interactive multimedia lessons and on the multimedia front one body of research that keeps coming up is Richard Mayer’s studies showing that imagery+text pairings reduce learning compared to imagery+audio narration.
I found a way to essentially do ‘invisible’ narration for slides in Desmos but it requires the user to manually hit Play first. I’d like to be able to trigger this playback of the media on demand via CL. This would open up a whole bunch of possibilities for adding narration and other audio to Desmos activities and give us more control over media playback in general.
Being able to just use audio by itself as media to upload would be great too, as would being able to utilize Mathigon’s narrator (who reads every paragraph on demand).
