I have this graph where the students have to place the digits in the spaces to get the least possible value of the expression.
Is there a way I can make the zoom ratio fixed?
I know I can do that with CL but I was wondering if I can get some similar results just by using desmos …
I know I can fix the zoom ratio in desmos but student can still open the left side bar 'causing the aspect ratio to change.

thank you.
btw: try to solve it, the answer is interesting
I finally solved like this:

not perfect but good enough …
If you find some numeric images instead of using labels, they’ll scale where text does not.
thank you, that’s the right solution, an image for each digit. thx
I dunno, i think you’d be better served by making the text size reponsive:
I hadn’t thought much about that possibility … I thought it was too much trouble … but actually I prefer to have digits instead of images so it is actually worth. Thank you, that’s perfect!!
Can I choose 2 posts as possible solutions??!!!
thx
(did you guys find the solution? it is not what you expect when you see the question)
Kind of off-topic, but it’s really convenient to set up open middle problems using polypad! See the last two screens here: Math 3, CYU 4-3: Finding Distance and Slope Between Points Practice • Activity Builder by Desmos Classroom
Wow, I didn’t know that was possible!!! I never used Polypad too much. Thank you!!!
