Graphing Systems of Inequalities - Shade a Single Region (with correctness)

Good afternoon!

I am trying to create a self checking activity where students practice graphing systems of inequalities - that emulate the graphing question type on the new STAAR test. I have found similar activities but not quite what I am looking for.

I need students to graph two lines separately, decide on the line type for each, then click in the region they want to shade. I will appreciate any and all help I can get!

Here’s what I have so far:

I have also attached a picture of what it should look like on STAAR.

Thank you!!!

I think this does what you want. Test it out and see what you think. system of inequalities tool • Activity Builder by Desmos

That is EXACTLY what I wanted!

How do I know what the region number is? I’m not sure how to read this:

Thank you!!!

I added in some labels that are only visible when you are editing the graph that show the region number. You can also move the s_haded slider to see which region lights up.

Hello!

What should I delete out if I want to just check a single inequality? Or do I need to just start over?

THANKS!!!

I added in a second screen with a single inequality. It works mostly the same, but I had to change it so that they need to click on the line itself to change the shaded side instead of the region.

Perfect! Thank you so much. I really appreciate all your help!

This is great I will try to make it self check

Before you go to that trouble, I have a further developed set that has self-checking: Solving and graphing inequalities templates • Activity Builder by Desmos

Daniel, this is awesome template activity. we need to talk, I have to really good ideas and have developed some pretty good stuff, but I sure could use an individual to collaborate with.
