Hello,
I have an activity that has a MC question and I know how to give them general feedback but how do I add a GIF to make it more engaging for the students,
Not sure entirely what you want to achieve.
It sounds like you want an image to appear depending on their response?
If so there are many ways to do that, but I would caution against that as it’s at least a bit of work to make it accessible.
Hello, I made this which is okay but I like for them to click the correct answer and the image to appear. See Screen 1. ES Desmos • Activity Builder by Desmos Classroom
Is the purpose of the image to give them a sense of success?
If so this could be better accomplished through a unicode character and textual feedback. Something like:
Well done!
Does this do? Feedback • Activity Builder by Desmos Classroom
It is but since it is elementary, I was trying to give them more of a gif aspect if that makes sense.
I’ve updated it to include a gif, but again for accessibility the gif alone would not be sufficient.
Yes. I would have both. Thank you! this really helps.
So you want the image to immediately appear upon selection, without requiring the Submit button? I’m not personally a big fan of immediate display, and prefer the Submit. But below, I set it up to hide based on no selection, but also to only show the image by adding the number(`i_{sCorrect}`):
sink to the CL and using that as a restriction in the image’s "Angle: " parameter.
I added a note about possibly combining the problem data image and the graph, then your image could show beneath the table without the awkwardness of a new graph appearing.
Note for @Mike_Gleeson’s second screen he uses an animated gif. They only work in a media component, and won’t animate if put into a graph.
Thank you so much. You have been so helpful.
