Is there a way to have students enter and infinity sign in a table?
I am asking students for the domain and range of a linear function, and I want them to enter it in interval notation like (-inf,inf) but I want inf to change to the infinity sign.
Students can insert more or less any symbol into an input. Unfortunately the calculator won’t recognize the infinity symbol for computation but it can still be entered: https://www.rapidtables.com/math/symbols/Infinity_Symbol.html
I dont know if you ever figured this out, but the domain and range slides on this activity, I have students entering in infinities and it will mark it as correct if the student is correct
