I am putting together an activity on multiplying and dividing fractions. I am using randomly generated numbers so students will have different problems. I want students to have to simplify their final answer. I thought of using the gcd and I know latex has a built in gcd function, but I have not been able to get it to work.
In situations like this you are often better off creating a hidden graph component that does all the maths for you, and then referring to those variables and answers in the CL, rather than trying to do the calculations within the CL.
Slide 1 here gives an example if you’re unsure.
This makes sense. Thank you!
