This is extremely cool!!! I love it!!! You deserve to be amongst the winners!
It doesn’t lag at all on my pc … (but I have a fast pc) …
I wouldn’t change anything, I like it as it is … maybe you can add the sun for fun …

it looks cool but i cant find out how to move (maybe im just a boomer)

Thank you!! Although I did find it to be laggy on my school laptop, idk exactly what the judges would want it to be able to run on.

I am adding a simple game over ui, which just displays your highscore and a replay button, and then the sun.

I plan on the sun killing you when it sets, so you have to collect speed power ups to go faster to gain highest score possible before sun set, it is inspired by the game “Race the Sun” by Flippfly, since i believe that would be achievable in desmos

drag the white point on the grey slider on the graph to move

To make it a bit faster you can put every variable that gets updated in a folder and close the folder …

it turns the green arrow but im not moving for some reason

you have to press play on the ticker, click on the metronome at the top of the expression list shelf. if you die you can click the arrow on the Reset variable

oh ok, well yeah i assume youre using a school chromebook in which case it runs at 5 fps max

You can save the graph with the metronome “on” so that people starts palying immediately when they load the page …

yeah right now im at school, but at home it gets around 20 fps at the least,

not terrible (unless youre a gamer)

i plan on creating a start screen and then the metronome will be saved on, becuase i dont want to kill people immediatley

the og starfox had around 15-20 fps, so i think it runs fine on an actual pc, but on a school laptop it needs to run faster, i am not sure how much fps the judges would want, so im a bit worried as i dont want this to be disqualified

I don’t think there’s a rule for fps … they want something cool that runs on most pc’s …
I love the algorithm to find the profiles!! you are really good !

I took part last year and also my graph was a bit slow on slow laptops … but it wasn’t a problem

There are some positions of the plane where it never dies … I reached 520 seconds … and it keeps going …

but it doesn’t matter … the graph is really cool …

Nice. It reminded me of Race the Sun.

Thanks! My original plan was to recreate Race the Sun, which is sort of what I’m doing just only one type of obstacle and there aren’t different levels, but I do plan on adding speed boosts and the sun mechanic from that game.
