Source of Name in Desmos

I have a student who changed their name. Their school Google email address was changed to the new name. However, their old name is showing up in Desmos activities.

We were able to work with the student to change their name in Desmos for now but I think that’s only a temporary solution.

Where does the student name that shows up in Desmos come from? I want to be able to edit that source so the student’s name is permanently updated and correct.

Have you recently synced your Desmos class with google?

It’s not a sync issue. The student’s name change occurred before the start of the year. Thanks for the suggestion!

You student should be able to change their name through the student dashboard at student.desmos.co

If they are unable to do that on their own, can you email support@desmos.com and let them know about your trouble? They can help you through it.
