I am struggling with what students are supposed to input in the tables for screens 8 & 9 where there is no solution and IMS. I’m trying to read through the CL but I don’t understand what I am looking at, as I am a total newbie! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To my eye it doesn’t look like the CL for the table matches what students are actually doing. The variables like check1a
and check1b
appear to be determining if students enter equations in x and y that are compatible with the correct values of x and y. But, as you said, there is no solution on 8 and IMS on 9, so this doesn’t really make sense to me. I am also noticing that the equations and solutions in the CL of the table don’t match what is displayed to students. Personally, I would keep the table as an ungraded space for students to type in steps and remove the feedback from CL. I hope that helps!
